Ultimate™ UV390 provides full broadband UV protection against
light degradation for plastic products allowing less than 10% UV
light transmission up to 395nm - the edge of the visible
spectrum.
A Cost Effective Solution
Ultimate™ is supplied as a liquid dispersion which requires
low addition rates, provides extremely accurate dosing and
excellent consistency. By utilising only the exact amount of active
ingredient required, Ultimate™ works efficiently as a highly
cost-effective UV blocking solution. As a liquid dispersion,
Ultimate™ enables much easier process control leading to less
downtime in production. Greater levels of consistency and excellent
part clarity also mean that aesthetically Ultimate™ gives
superior results.
One Product: All Applications
Ultimate™ UV390 has universal application. Food, beverage,
personal care and home cleaning products packaged in PET containers
can be damaged by exposure to UV light. This exposure can cause the
color fade and initiate degradation reactions in vitamins affecting
product texture, taste and odour. Ultimate™ helps to extend
shelf life and offers an ideal solution for this type of packaging
application.
Injection Moulded and Extruded applications that are exposed to the outside elements such as transit crates, disposal bins and window profiles also benefit from ColorMatrix's UV absorbers to protect against light degradation.
Recycle friendly
Ultimate™ UV390 provides unparalleled clarity and no
yellowing. Containers are recycle friendly showing no impact of
physical performance characteristics or colour of the recycled
materials.

Products
Use of Ultimate UV™ 390 in combination with ColorMatrix's
range of colors will offer enhanced light protection into the
visible range, particularly relevant to vitamin enhanced products.
Protection up to 575nm is possible, whilst also maintaining
transparency.
