Handling
Amosorb® is supplied in sealed air and moisture-tight containers and requires no drying before use. The formulation is added to the PET melt using conventional pellet handling systems. Typical use rates vary from 1.0% to 5.0%, depending on:

• oxygen sensitivity of the packaged product;
• presence of vitamins and/or minerals in the contents;
• desired shelf-life;
• container design (including wall thickness and surface area)
• closure design;
• storage environment

ColorMatrix can provide full trial, analysis and production support to ensure your use of Amosorb® is optimised according to your specific application.

Processing
Amosorb® from ColorMatrix can be:

• run on standard injection machines, providing easy installation for a quick and cost-effective barrier container processing;
• can be dosed flexibly and may be adjusted during processing to ensure optimised performance;
• is suitable for both monolayer and multilayer containers as well as thermoformed sheet applications;
• offers good container clarity and recycling performance;
• can be utilised along with a CO2 barrier to provide an enhanced barrier solution for products particularly sensitive to CO2 loss.
