ColorMatrix will be introducing a host of new industry leading liquid color and additive technologies at this year's ArgenPlás.
Following the incorporation of DosiColor as a ColorMatrix brand, a
key innovation launching globally and demonstrating at this
year's show will be DosiColor-DosiXpress. This
brand new concept in color matching promises to revolutionize the
industry by allowing customers to take complete control of their
own color development and production.
According to Celio Andrino, Managing Director of ColorMatrix Latin
America, the system is very straightforward. "Using a
hand-held spectrophotometer to evaluate their master color, our
customer simply logs onto their personalized ColorMatrix web site,
creates a match for their desired color and orders their preferred
color match online. The order can then be manufactured immediately
and shipped out within the hour."
As well as speeding up the whole color development and production
process, DosiColor-DosiXpress allows the
production of an almost limitless number of colors using a handful
of highly concentrated ingredients.
Andrino adds "the system has particular advantages for
coloration of molded products; it will shorten production
development cycles for our customers from months or weeks to days
or even hours".

Other recent additive innovations from ColorMatrix that visitors to
ArgenPlás can expect to hear about include:
Oxygen Scavenging technology including
Amosorb®, the new Amosorb
SolO2 which allows PET containers to meet the stringent
shelf life requirements common to beer, juice, wine and dairy
packages.
Ultimate™ UV 390 which gives maximum
broadband UV protection to packaged products such as beverages,
household products and cosmetics that contain ingredients
susceptible to degradation when exposed to UV light.
Eze™ slip agents, designed specifically to
reduce part surface energy and static charge build up. The
Eze™ product range has been developed to
address a number of specific issues ranging from improved drop box
economics to smoother and more efficient mould release
performance.
The show will also provide a platform for the launch of
ColorMatrix's very latest oxygen scavenger technology
HyGuard™. This revolutionary approach gives
additional performance and recycling advantages over existing
oxygen technologies. HyGuard™ will be
incorporated into preforms at the injection molding stage and
features a novel triggering mechanism which initiates the oxygen
scavenging reaction upon the filling of the bottles. This
triggering feature also promises further light weighting of
containers and even refillable containers with scavenging
performance.
In addition for the performance molding sector, ColorMatrix will be
featuring its latest technologies in Blowing Agents, Nucleating
Agents, Clarifiers, Anti-microbials and Anti-Oxidants.
Building on ColorMatrix and DosiColor's long history of liquid
color innovation and with plants in Buenos Aires, Brazil, Mexico
and offices in Chile and Colombia, ColorMatrix now has a strong
